1. Start with your workpiece: diameter and length

The published tables show three round pipe polishing series. Each one covers a different workpiece range:

• WX-DWZ multi-station round tube polishing machine: machining diameter 4 to 100 mm, processing length 100 to 6000 mm, processing efficiency 0 to 20 m per minute.

All three series come in 2-, 4-, 6-, 8- and 10-head models (for example WX-DWZ-2 to WX-DWZ-10). According to the published material, you specify the number of grinding heads when you order. That choice depends on the original condition of the workpiece surface and the finish you need on the finished product.

The WX-DL material also explains the difference between single-station and multi-station machines. A single-station machine has one group of polishing wheels and polishes the workpiece once per pass. It is generally used for rust removal and rough polishing, or for small, long and thin shaft parts. The WX-DL series can also take grinding wheels to remove oxide skin from round steel and pipe with serious surface defects.

All series list surface roughness as Ra 0.02 um and say they support work from rough polishing to fine polishing. Treat that as a published table value. Confirm it against your own material, starting condition and abrasive sequence, for example with a sample trial agreed with the supplier.

Published overall dimensions run from 1.4 x 1.2 m (2-head) to 6.2 x 1.2 m (10-head) for WX-DLZ and WX-DWZ. WX-DLZ is listed at 1.4 m high and WX-DWZ at 1.0 m. WX-DL runs from 1.3 x 1.2 x 1.5 m to 6.5 x 1.2 x 1.5 m. Remember to allow extra floor length for the feeding and discharge racks.

All series list 380 V, three-phase four-wire input. Buyers in the United States, the Middle East, Europe and Southeast Asia should check this against their local supply before ordering. Ask the manufacturer in writing about any other voltage.

4. Decide on dust removal: wet or dry

Each series lists wet water-cycle dust removal and dry fan dust removal as options, and each has a reserved fan port. If you choose the wet option, plan for water inlet and drainage. The published preparation notes say the drainage point must sit lower than the drainage port, or waste liquid will not discharge properly. The WX-DWZ and multi-grinding-head materials describe a fully closed, dust-proof case, with trap doors over the parts that need regular adjustment so they are easier to reach.

The published material describes a complete production line made of three parts: the polishing machine, a feeding device and a discharging device. Standard, automatic, environmental protection and economic configurations are offered. Read the automation descriptions carefully:

• The WX-DWZ material describes semi-automatic operation. Feeding uses manual press feeding on the feed frame. Polishing and unloading are automatic, with passive rollers carrying the workpiece and a cylinder or discharge system handling unloading. The material says this allows one person to run several machines.
• The WX-DLZ product page describes a version with an automatic loading and unloading rack that handles feeding, processing and unloading. The tables also say the loading and unloading mechanism is matched to the length of the processed parts. Confirm the exact rack scope for your part lengths.

The published specifications also cover these integration points:

• Grinding head feed: digital-display electric adjustment (WX-DLZ, WX-DWZ) or digital-display electromagnetic hydraulic control (WX-DL).
• Passive guide wheel adjustment: manual, electric or automatic options (WX-DLZ, WX-DL).

Check that you can source these wheels locally.

7. Installation and safety checks to plan for

The published preparation and operation notes include these points:

• Place the machine on a flat surface. Check that parts are complete and fasteners are tight, and clean the machine.
• Check that the power supply meets the requirements and that all connections and grounding are safe and reliable.
• Cut off the power supply before you replace or install a polishing pad. Do not use dirty polishing pads, and replace any that cannot be cleaned.
• Do not loosen the handle until the polishing machine has completely stopped rotating, and do not remove the handle without authorization.
